Seven years ago, I went to my first WE Day. I didn't know what the event was prior to going nor was I too familiar about the organization at the time. My teacher and high school mentor advised me to come with the group, I said yes, and haven't regretted it since. In the subsequent years, I had the pleasure of co-leading my high school's WE team, attending and hosting countless events, conferences, and workshops, as well as going on a life-changing trip to Mwangaza, Kenya to help build a classroom with Me to We.
During my senior year, I knew I wanted to join the WE team in university (of course back then, the organization was still named Free the Children). The last few years have brought about a whirlwind of change both in the larger organization and for our group here at the University of Toronto, and I can honestly say that with each passing year, our group accomplishes so many new things that I am so greatly proud of.

It has been an absolute pleasure being a part of this wonderful team and watching it grow throughout my undergraduate career!
As I am stepping down from the role of President that I have thoroughly loved for the last two years, it gives me great joy to be leaving the team in the hands of exceptionally dedicated individuals. Next year's team will be leading this group to all new heights and I cannot wait to see what they can do.
Lastly, I wish everyone all the best in their final exams and in their careers, and hope that everyone has a wonderful summer vacation!
